Have you ever wondered what makes the Prime Minister laugh, tickles the Archbishop of Canterbury's funny bone or makes a pop star like David Bowie chuckle? The answers can be found in this collection of favourite jokes from 100 noted personalities. The inspiration for this book came from a small village primary school in North Yorkshire, where three out of 100 pupils suffer from life-threatening food allergies, which are, worryingly, on the increase. Nationally, the number of children developing peanut allergies alone, which kill up to ten people every year, has trebled in just ten years. Yet the condition is manageable and that is why increased awareness is so vital. Two mothers from Fountains Church of England School, near Ripon, appealed to celebrities and well-known people for their favourite jokes, as a way of helping to highlight this growing problem. The response was magnificent! These jokes, from leading politicians, sports stars, musicians, comedians and actors, will not just make you laugh but will help to save lives. A contribution from each sale will go to The Anaphylaxis Campaign whose aim is to promote awareness of serious food allergies that particularly affect children.
