Handwriting expert and Holocaust survivor, Jacob Bruno has his life take a fateful turn when asked to restrict testimony on a forgery case, yet swear an oath to God to tell the whole truth. Conflicted, the old graphologist takes on the haughty Judge Wellingham and pays a big price, fined $10,000 and put in jail for contempt of court. In covering this lightning rod case, Modern Times ace reporter, Rudy Styne, expects it to become a cover story, when out of nowhere, a nine-year-old up and coming ice skater and cover-girl darling, Jay Jay Martin, is kidnapped from her home in Bountiful Utah. With a hundred reporters flocking to the state, and Rudy's court story pushed to the back burner, Rudy requests to join the herd, particularly when it is revealed that there is a ransom note implicating the ice skater's father, corporate megastar, Skipper Martin. Who else would be best to compare the father's handwriting to the ransom note than Jacob Bruno? OUTSIDE READER REVIEWSI have read quite a number of novels but not many are both educational and entertaining as FATE LINE is. Thanks to the inclusion of graphologists, astrologers, palmists and scientists, I learned a lot about these fields.... The plote-line was so cleverly twisted and intrinsic that it was actually impossible for me to put the book down. Melchi Asuma FATE LINE by Marc J. Seifer, is an amazingly complex novel. The author masterfully interweaves many subplots, all of them enthralling and ultimately connected to each other. There are many things I loved about FATE LINE, but the characters are, probably, my favorite. Not a single one of them could be labeled as ordinary. You will meet graphologists, a palm reader, an art expert, a hypnotist and several other fascinating personalities. All of them are well-developed and even the backstories explain their behavior.... The plot is engaging from beginning to end, action-packed and full of twists and turns that will get the reader absolutely hooked. Lunastella Marc Seifer has constructed a dizzyingly complex tale which involves a love affair between palm reader Max Minkowski, and a young graphologist and Jacob Bruno prot???g???, Sarah Calloway. This story takes the reader to an incest cult in Utah, to a psychic troupe touring the Northeast and back to New York City where Jacob Bruno is involved in another forgery case that leads to manslaughter. Can Rudy Styne find the kidnapper or solve the murder? Will the hit man kill again or get off scot-free? Find out in FATE LINE: A Graphological Murder Mystery. "An often engaging thriller series... that's worth a read." Seifer, Ph.D. Star of the 5-part TV mini-series THE TESLA FILES, Dr. Seifer has been hailed as a great story teller. His creation of the RUDY STYNE QUADRILOGY is the result of over 30 years research and writing. The contemporary side of each story follows our hero, Rudy Styne, ace reporter for Modern Times Magazine as he seeks to solve a murder in each case.
