After grad nating at Bowdoin College in 1853 he began the study of law at Bar vard, andi111855 entered upon thepractice oihis profession inhis native city. Here he edited the Augusta Age, became president of the common councilandin1856waselected cityattorney. Lnthe last named year he removed to Chicago, where for thirty-two years heconducteda highlysuccessful lawpractice. Mr. Fuller wasa member of the Illinois Constitutional Convention in 1862, and of the Illinois House of Representatives in 1863. A strong Democrat, he served as a delegate to all the national conventions, from 1864 to 1880 inclusive, and was always prominent in the councils of his party.
