I really enjoyed reading this book. You really get a good point of view of PTSD and the war in Vietnam. The character development is done very well. The descriptions of the Cu Chi Tunnels were very point on and I felt like I was there and could picture being inside them. Great book. Shows a great father and daughter struggle.

Good Read
Immensely enjoyable slice-of-life story, well written and thought provoking. Dysfunctional family-ism told without the usual self-pity but rather in an upbeat, matter of fact and often witty way. Illustrates the reach of war's horror far beyond the battle field.

Powerful memoir
This is a beautiful memoir, although at times Trussoni seems to strain to draw together the multiple threads of the narrative.

Beautifully written. Good Story
Compelling story, tightly written, well-paced memoir. Though towards the end (the trip to Vietnam), the focus gets a little hazy, this book is a good read for anyone interested in memoir.
