Our hearts are faithful even when our brain betrays us. No one really knows the torment a family feels when a loved one suffers from memory loss, Dementia, or Alzheimer's. What is very real is the person's emotions even though they may not be able to explain them. They may want to reach out and hug you but instead, they lash out with a strong rebuke. They may want to say thank you for coming to see me or for spending time with me, but "get out" comes out instead. We don't know why the Father permits our memories to fade or for us to believe things that aren't true. We do know, that within this time period there is a GRACE that only GOD gives to pull us through these moments. This book encourages families to keep coming and visiting loved ones that may not remember your presence, but their heart registers every look, hug, smile, and expression of love.
