I bought this book to learn more about the space program from its early inception and have gotten the answers that I was looking for. Throughout the book it became clear how complicated this race to the moon really was. I just finished it and it gives a good chronological description of not only the successes but the failures, the many people involved. At times one needs to stay really focussed because it gets very technical but personally I liked it as I am very interested in the hardware as well. It fulfilled my expectations and I can certainly recommend it to anyone interested in space exploration in general and the Apollo program in particular since that program occupies most if the book.
