Excellent Introspective Resource
I first read this book in the early 80's and it has been a resource for me ever since. The author, Joe Fox, was a hands on executive who ran a large aerospace business unit within IBM for many years. When you read the book you will find that he obviously was a thoughtful person and keep observer of human behavior. The book is a product of his observations about the qualities and abilities of people, when they are assets and when they are liabilities... and how they come together to to make people successful in business and successful in life. The books written clearly and contains a lot of quotes which are relevant to the various scenarios that he relates. It is easy to read at many levels and is the kind of thing that you might want to keep and revisit from time to time.
If you are looking for a mentoring resource this book could be the answer. I highly recommend it for anyone... be they executives, aspiring executives or just regular people. The only thing that I might change about it is its title... from Executive Qualities to "People Qualities" .
