Carl Boll's book, "Executive Jobs Unlimited" at one time provided the definitive program for landing a job. In one way, however, his method may have become somewhat obsolete - and that is, while he discourages the applicant from sending a resume (he suggests instead a letter describing the applicant's accomplishments) some prospective employers will only consider applications that are provided in the form of a resume transmitted by email. Putting aside that one possible evolution in the job market, the reality is that Mr. Boll's book provides a number of useful insights and guidelines for landing a job. For any job seeker, especially a young person who is entering the job market for the first time, I regard the book as an absolute must.
