I checked out this book from the library, and my six-year-old enjoyed it so much we rechecked it three times before purchasing it for her for Christmas. I like the variety of stories and poem - snippets from Greek and Roman mythology, "Anne of Green Gables," Robert Louis Stevenson stories, "Miss Nelson is Missing," and so much more. Not only does it help introduce and reinforce good manners, but it also teaches appreciation for all different kinds of writings. As a parent, this book has guided me in things to teach my children, and I appreciate that I can let my children read it on their own and know that I do not have to be concerned about the content. We love this book at our house!
