Its volume on Margaret Whiting is similarly comprehensive, a lengthy compilation of her recordings from nearly a single year (1950), many of which appear for the first time on CD here. Unfortunately, Whiting wasn't getting good material during this period; although she had a way with a torchy ballad, scoring with "Make the Man Love Me" (included here), she continued to receive a lot of pedestrian material (whether an upbeat novelty song or a tame ballad).
