We may heartily agree that healthy mothers are required to preserve the strength and vigor of the race; also that a big man shall not be permitted to maltreat a little child; but we do not shudder to learn that there are 10,000 children helping in the fields of Iowa when we recall with pleasure our childhood days on the farm.
