Â A volume of the essays of Bishop George Horne, Thomas Monro, and Henry Kett. 'Olla Podrida' was a periodical, published across forty-four parts, from 1787 to 1788. The essays contributed to the periodical varied in subject, from literary to social, including a longer piece by Horne on the Samuel JohnsonIllustrated with a vignette title page to each volume. In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, a little rubbed. Light discolouration to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the extremities. Spine is faded. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with scattered spots, mostly to the first and last few pages. Prior owner's ink inscription to the half-titles. Good.
