Excellent Easy Read - Captures you Right Away
I felt like I was in Japan in WWII. Captured in a Japanese Prison Camp trying to escape. The book pulled me right in. I have passed it on to a few friends to read and feel uncomfortable when I don't have it at my own home. I was fortunate enough to meet the authors daughter who lives in the South of England. It was fantastic to speak with her about her father and the stories that he told her upon his return from the war.
I know how brutal war can be and WWII in the Far East was brutal. This author paints the story with vivid detail and allows you to experience the events from within a narrow looking glass of one, brave and determined soldier. You will forever remember the read.
