Seller's Description:
Very good. Second Printing. No marks in book. Appears unread. Browning of text pages. WWII history of Colditz Castle, the impregnable German prison camp for enemy officers who had escaped from previous camps; and went on escaping from Colditz.
This is, without a doubt, one of the most fascinating books on POWs in WW2 I have ever read. It's wonderfully written by the leader of escapes in Colditz. The men come alive in a wonderful way, and the entire book is a fascinating account. Wonderful story, wonderful book.

What a story!
This was one of the most fascinating books I've ever read about WW II, and I've read quite a few. What an incredible story of indomitable courage, resource, and ingenuity in a series of dramatic escapes from an "escape-proof" castle in Germany.
