POET is also available as a POET+PEAF Box Set. (ISBN: 978-1-908424-28-0) PEAF (ISBN:978-1-908424-10-5) inherits and builds on POET (ISBN:978-1-908424-07-5). Therefore reading and understanding PEAF requires that you have previously read and understood POET. "The only constant is change!" has been the battle cry for many years but just being able to deal with change is no longer enough. The new battle cry is "The only constant is the acceleration of change!". How an Enterprise effects the whole of Transformation is becoming a Strategic Strength or a Strategic Weakness, where massive business opportunities can be gained or massive business problems will result. POET allows those involved in the Transformation of Enterprises (from the "Chief Transformation Officer" to those physically deploying the changes, and all those in between) to take a coherent and holistic view (Methods, Artefacts, Culture and Environment) of the Transformation part of an Enterprise (from Strategy to Deployment) to allow Executive Management (by enabling informed decisions) to improve it. Not the Transformation of Operations, but the Transformation of Transformation, to better enable the Transformation of Operations. Who should read POET? Anyone and everyone that is involved in the Transformation of Enterprises. More specifically, POET is of most use to the CEO, COO, CIO and CTO and the wider executive team for it is they who have the Accountability and Responsibility for the Efficient and Effective design of the Enterprise Transformation Processes. Ultimately the person who would get most benefit would be the Chief Transformation Officer (CXO) - a role that does not currently exist in 99.9% of all Enterprises. One of POET's main tenets is not only that every Enterprise should have a Chief Transformation Officer but those that do not will be massively overtaken by those that do. The person currently working in an Enterprise that is probably most suitable to taken on this role is likely to be the CIO or IT Director. Not because the role is an IT focussed role but because he/she is probably already the most senior person related to the whole Transformation domain.
