Seller's Description:
Near Fine in Very Good+ jacket. 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall. 724pp/illus. This biography by the great 20th-century opera singer's second son focuses on Caruso's private life. Over 3/4 of the more than 200 black-and-white photographs have never before been published. Light rubbing to dj. Text clean.
I really enjoyed reading this book, it's another view of Caruso's life by somebody who knew him longer than Dorothy Caruso did.
A lot of the book is a discussion of the division of Caruso's property after his death, with all kinds of details about the fight between him and his family, and Dorothy Caruso. It certainly gives us another view of her! I guess one needs to read the book and draw their own conclusions! I learned a great deal more about Caruso in this book than I did in the one by Dorothy Caruso of course. We learn a great deal more about his early life and also his life with the mother of his sons. Definitely an exciting life!
