For example, aside from the brain's emotional center becoming highly activated, the area in the front region of the brain where we do complex thinking, shuts down. In addition, it is highly unlikely for an individual to be capable of insight when frozen in a chronic state of fight, flight or freeze. With 20 Veterans taking their lives on a daily basis, we must do better than what has been previously offered. This book discusses a field tested intervention that can change these terrible statistics.
