This book is only for those Ender fans who are sufficiently curious to know about the years intervening between the end of Ender's Game and Speaker for the Dead. And... can tolerate the other meandering boring repetitious irrelevant 50% of content. If there was a Cliff's Notes that would be the way to go. This book reveals nothing more about Ender than what has already been written, and actually subtracts quite a bit. I had been waiting for a while to read this and after all the time to develop a good story over all these years, was surprised that there wasn't more substance to "chew on". Like reading for a college pre-requisite class, find a used copy, have low expectations, and you will not be disappointed.
