A window to Colombia?s movement?s and their beginn
Wonderful interviews of Castro Caycedo with Colombian leaders who either started or joined a movement and their reasons for it. Very refreshing the honesty of these leaders who are open to accept their mistakes and disillusions such as in the case of Jaime Arenas who joined las FARC, and a great wealth of information with Jaime Bateman Cayon, founder of M19, the Castano brothers who founded the paramilitary movement to protect themselves from las FARC and even Pablo Escobar, who brings us into the world of the beginnings of cocaine trafficking in Colombia. En Secreto helped me understand and separate these groups and what they were or are all about as we read all these people who write about their experience of being kidnapped in Colombia and for those of us who are not knowledgeable of what is going on, this book brings us to the understanding of the situation in Colombia. I am going to read more of German Castro Caycedo?s works as I am very interested in knowing what is happening in Colombia from a Colombian writer and not a foreigner.
