the second in a three part series. this book takes up as the first one ends. the pace is fast, the characters are deep. you speed along. the next thing you know, the book is over. you just can't wait to start the next one. how will it end. i don't usually read fantasy, but this series is a real winner. needless to say, i went on to read the final book, the goddess. the series is fantastic.
