Despeignes ) relates the case of an old man who suffered from cancer of the stomach, in whom "considerable improvement" took place after 80 sittings held twice daily for i-hour. P. H. Eifkman ") claims that he has cured a case of carcinoma of the breast, and we learn from Dr. Weldor of New York7) that John G. Gilman of Chicago has cured 50 cases of cancer by means of X-rays. Quenissel and Seguy report that they obtained improvement in a case of recurring and metastatic sarcoma 8). C. Beck treated a recurring sarcoma of the lower part of the thigh in a man, xt. 36, by exposure given 2-3 times a week for 10-45 minutes. He accomplished a "cure" which lasted for 9 weeks (sic) 1).
