Un r???pido proceso, una breve prisi???n y un dorado exilio sudamericano fueron el resultado final para Lemoine; pero el inter???s que este suceso policial despert??? en un joven y apenas menos ignoto escritor le asegurar???a una impensada posteridad literaria.Marcel Proust era c???lebre en los mejores salones mundanos de Par???s por su capacidad para imitar la voz y los gestos ajenos, sobre todo los de su amigo Robert de Montesquiou. Tambi???n en la literatura mostraba el mismo talento, pero hasta 1908 s???lo lo hab???a usado de manera accidental. Al enterarse por Le Figaro del caso Lemoine, tuvo la idea de una serie de pastiches en los que contar???a la historia a la manera de los escritores que amaba o detestaba particularmente. En cuanto a los segundos, nada mejor que la parodia para resaltar sus limitaciones y su estrechez de miras. En los pastiches proustianos, la parodia no es un fin en s??? misma, aunque algunos sean realmente hilarantes, sino una manera de desentra???ar los mecanismos m???s ???ntimos de una escritura, una forma particular de la cr???tica que Proust mismo llam??? "cr???tica en acci???n". Constituyen, as???, un caso aparte en una larga tradici???n que, en la literatura francesa, comienza con Rabelais y llega hasta nuestros d???as, y son, como tal, de lectura obligada para todos los amantes de En busca del tiempo perdido.
