Schlesinger in Berlin, welches die ganze F???lle des angehauften Stoffes ordnen und ???bersichtlich entwickeln' will, in umfassender Weise abgeholfen wird, so bleibt daneben doch noch das Bed???rfnis nach einer soweit es die Verh???ltnisse gestatten elementar gehaltenen Einfuhrung in die Grundlagen der Theorie bestehen. Diesem Bed???rfnis w???nscht das vorliegende Buch zu entsprechen. Es m???chte durch einen moglichst bequemen Eingang einen immer gr???sseren Kreis von Mathematikern zum Eintritt in dieses fruchtbare und' wichtige Gebiet der Wissenschaft veranlassen.
