Wakeup Call !
I must say "Madame" Esme's book is quite a change from the majority of "rookie teacher" books. Usually they just whine... "Madame" Esme actually speaks her mind and does something about it, or at least tries. As a retiree it has been sad for me to see the number of teachers AFRAID to speak their mind or follow their beliefs. Of course much of what is in the book was probably only thought of afterwards, but still it makes for an interest, refreshing read. Definitely not just for "rookie teachers." Be aware Esme can be a bit foul in her mouth and thoughts!

Outside the Box
Every first year teacher or any teacher for that matter, should read this book. There are some wonderful ideas in this book to use with children. The author thinks way out of the box. A great book simply for entertainment.
