Gorgeous scientist Devon Adair (Deborah Farentino) has one such child - a young son, Ulysses (Joey Zimmerman) saddled with a huge life-support system that he must tote around. In an effort to make life easier for both of them, Devon hijacks a spaceship with a bunch of explorers in tow, and sets off for "planet G889," which on the surface appears to be a fresh, unspoiled and uninhabited world.
