Seller's Description:
Good. No Jacket. Inscribed and Signed By the Author 298 pages. On the blank front free end page is a presentation inscription by the author to Mrs. Ella Smith McClintock of 1131 Buchanan Street in Topeka, Kansas dated December 25, 1914. Also laid in is a folded letter in the hand of the author to the same Mrs. McClintock discussing their acquaintance and the books he has been writing regarding Lyndon, Kansas and its surrounding area. At the time of this letter, he despairs in selling only 16 copies locally, but claims to have greater success with his mail order business. As with all of his titles, the covers are illustrated paper over cardboard and the spine covers are binders tape. Covers are a little worn and there are tears in the spine cover at the crown. Upper corner is bumped and there is a light crease throughout.
