H., 1801-1816: A Complete and Exact Transcript of the Records of the Clerks as Written in the Old Derryfield Book No. 2, Pages 202 to 382, Vol. III, Pages 1 to 177 Inclusive In 1804 the town voted to have a singing school, but raised no money towards its support. The year 1805 marks the agitation of separating the church from town affairs, and no money was voted at the annual meeting for preaching, but two men were elected to sing in meeting. The following years money was raised until 1813, when the list of taxes was made up without the customary minister's tax.
