Includes EPNS & Old Sheffield plate makers' marks from 1784. The prices paid for Victorian silver plate are now sometimes greater than similar wares in sterling silver. The market for Victorian Sheffield Plate, as it is called, has grown enormously. Yet through the years there has been scant information with which to identify and authenticate pieces.
