This book was one of the most inspiring things I have ever read! Though not one part of his life reflects mine, I was touched. I laughed, hurt, and got angry as he did along with his story. The story was wrote by Smokey D. Fontaine but I believe he practically let DMX speak through him. I thought I knew the basics of DMX till I read this book and found out I was very wrong. Knowing what he went through didn't just make him seem stronger in my mind, it also let me see more and understand the messages in his music. Also, The book includes pages and pages of lyrics up to, I believe, the 3rd album. Anyway, The book is amazing! My all-time favorite! I recommend it to anyone but specially to fans of the Yonkers rapper already!
