Overview physical education courses cover a broad spectrum of topics, including a history of the discipline, objectives of physical education, teaching strategies for a variety of skills, and curriculum development guidelines. The physical education overview course can be found in most faculties of education. It is sometimes taught as an Additional Qualifications course. Similar courses may also be found within departments of physical education or kinesiology departments, aimed at students who are studying to become physical education professionals.
