He became bishop of St Asaph in north-east Wales in the latter part of his life. Lloyd was also a writer with his principle works being on biographies of statesmen and the elite. Here Lloyd publishes the writings of famous and acclaimed men like Socrates and Heraclitus, and the more contemporary Descartes and Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor. Collated complete.
