Unfortunately, Cavaliere and his co-writers only had a series of bland romantic tunes up their sleeves, and Was, in contrast to many of his other productions, seemed overly concerned with updating Cavaliere's sound (unless, of course, it was Cavaliere who insisted on the modernizing).
