In a deep sleep she arrived at Svartalfheim, the home of the Dark Elves. Their world was filled with darkness. These elves hated the sunlight, so they lived in the dark damp murky underground. They could be a great pain in the neck to humans. They were extremely annoying and were nothing but trouble. Dark Elves were also responsible for the nightmares of humanity. The Dark Elves were called "mare". A mare sat on a sleeping person's chest and whispered bad dreams to haunt the person. Like the Light Elves, they too could intervene in human affairs. By visiting both the Light and Dark worlds of the Elves, they exposed a troubling situation in Margaret's real life...
