Return to the land of dragons and magic you discovered in Dragonspell and DragonQuest, in this finely crafted and memorable work of fantasy fiction with a core of eternal truth. Trapped in an evil spell... can the knights of Paladin be rescued? Before vowing his allegiance to Wulder as a knight, Bardon heads to the mountains for solitude. His life is suddenly complicated by a woman and her granddaughter, N'Rae, who are on a mission to rescue the woman's son trapped in a chamber of sleep. When Bardon learns that more of Paladin's knights are imprisoned within the chamber, he suspects one of them is Dragon Keeper Kale' s missing father. The band travels north, uncertain of their destination and encountering numerous perils. When they unlock the chamber, they discover a dozen knights. But the knights cannot be awakened, and the journal holding the secret to rousing them is in an unknown language. How can they find the help they need, and overcome even graver obstacles, to rescue the knights?

This is my favorite book in the Dragonkeeper Chronicles. Filled with action, romance, humor, and spiritual truths DragonKnight is an amazing book. It is suited (as is the seires) for children 10 and up to any aged adult. I have read it twice and could never put it down.

Highly recommend this captivating fantasy!
I purchased Dragonknight for my 10 year old son. It is the 3rd book in the series by Donita Paul. The fascinating story is filled with Christian allegory and is a great alternative to other fantasy novels filled with witchcraft and wizards. My son read for hours at a time and couldn't wait until he could return to the book. We passed the books along to my 11 year old nephew and he has had the same experience. Each book contains a complete glossary to introduce the reader to the many new terms in Paul's fictional world. The book is quite lengthy (about 350 pages) and the reading level is probably more suited for junior high children unless the child is an above average reader. I read several chapters myself and found it to be very compelling, even for an adult reader. We would all highly recommend this and the other books in the Dragon series.
