Dragons, as fantasy characters, evoke all kinds of mythological references and symbolism, but this book is about real people. About people born on any year of the Dragon: 1916,1928,1940,1952,1964,1976,1988,2000, 2012,2024,2036. They have been consistently impressing me through the years with their jaw-dropping behavior that fluctuates between extremes of strength and weakness, exhibitionism and shyness, imagination and virtuosity... These short stories are a glimpse on their lives and their way of being, which surely are far from normal. They have a touch of magic that often crashes on reality, both theirs and ours, generating fertility, surprise, upheaval. Their sense of honor elevates them (and their friends) to the next level, whatever that exactly means. As fantastic as these stories might be, this book is meant to be a collection of portraits of real people, based on actual facts. Dragon people are one of a kind: with a couple of flames they shake things up a bit, leaving their mark in this world, to which they belong only partially.
