In THE LAST DREAM, that dilemma is expressed in such reflective passages as the following: But for Arya and her generation, the game was a bit different. The memories in the middle of which half of their lives revolved and were a part of their daily lives undoubtedly always had a place in their conversations, in their sleep and wakefulness, and in their friendships and social circles. Their accent became less noticeable every day, but it would not go away. All these things were a reminder that they belonged somewhere else, a place to which they also did not belong any longer.
