Near Fine in Very Good jacket. 16mo-over 5¾"-6¾" tall. This copy appears to be number D11 in the Hare bibliography. The only exception to the points listed is the size, which, however, is within 1/8" of the size given in Hare. Red cloth boards with black titles on the spine and no paste-on label. Hinges reinforced with white buckram. Heavy, white paper stock. Opened locket illustration on the title page; the author's name and publisher's name are printed in black; "New York" and "1950" are in red. Very light shelfwear. Previous owner's name is on the front free endpaper. Faint smudge on the rear free endpaper. Otherwise a fine, unmarked copy. The dust jacket is puckered from prior dampness and has light soiling. There is light wear at the spine ends and the corners. The price at the top of the front flap is intact ($2.75) while the bottom corner is clipped. There is a code number (40-80) on the bottom of the front flap. Now in Brodart dust jacket protector.
