The mood is consistently dark and heavy: eerie Middle Eastern intonations courtesy of Muslimgauze and Black faction rub up against traditional reggae contributions from Dubcreator and Alpha & Omega, while Raz Mesinai unloads some creepy orchestral soundtrack music and Sound Secretion delivers some of the finest turntablism west of New York. Digitaria's "Manifest," which opens the album in fine style, sounds for all the world like vintage Dub Syndicate. CD buyers will miss out on four vinyl-only tracks, unfortunately.
