Photographic board (as pictured) with illustrated page pattern (behind text) in light green throughout. A three-leaf clover on a silver ribbon in rear and a stunning 19th century art-piece token on similar ribbon in front (tanning to page beneath). Small neat former owner stamp on endpaper. The author was an American writer who wrote over 35 books, many period pieces of their day and including biographies of Sarah Bernhardt, Ferdinand Foch, and James Whitcomb Riley; as well as her own autobiogaphy and articles for the Ladies Home Journal.
