Outstanding compact overview
One title out of the series "Seminar Studies in History". I have since purchased another monograph in this series, and although I still admire the editing and choice of authors, I consider this book a star in the series. The subject matter is complex, to put it mildly, but this 126 p. monograph really puts the student in the picture, and footnotes are ample if the reader wishes to pursue a certain detail further.
