Very good resource
This is a very good book for land managers. It places management within an ecological framework and does a nice job of presenting succession in an understandable way. All to often manager's attempts to re-create a former vegetative state "fail" because they do not account for the ecological succession that must take place.
I do wish Dr. Luken would issue a revised edition to incorporate new information gained over the past 15 years and to bring the price to an affordable level that managers might begin to use this as a reference book.
