English summary: This book concludes the three-volume project on the geographic processions to the sacred pedestal in the temples of the Greco-Roman era. The chief subjects are the two great four-part geographic processions on the outside of the naos (temple) and in the courtyard of the temple of Horus at Edfu. Because the texts are not clear on all points for this procession, parallel rituals that exist for other temples were consulted in the creation of the research for this study. The chief version of the processions in Edfu are documented in photographed images contained in this volume. This presentation follows the series of the 22nd and 20th nomes in Upper Egypt, each with their four offering-bearers who proceed in order and represent the nome, the canal, the fertile land, and the marshes. The inscriptions of each of the offering-bearer depicts a delivery formula, in which the place the individual represents in named, as well as an identification formula, that helps the god of the temple honored by the process (such as Horus in Edfu) can identify with the local deities of the individual cultic landscape. This study offers a complete analysis of the mythology to aid in understanding these ritual processions, along with the original texts, translated here for the first time, along with extensive commentary. Together with Together with the first two volumes in this series, this study analyses a broad range of themes within the cultic-landscape of ancient Egypt as represented in the processions, many of which are not well known outside of the ritual procession texts and is only partial represented on papyrus, but even then, not for all the regions of Egypt. Along with the volume by Florian Loffler, the book contains a comprehensive index of 2,000 pages with complete table of contents for all three volumes of the series, which this book concludes.
