Original publisher's card binding in white with black lettering and illustration of a raven in St. Mark's Square, Venice. / Paul Flora (1922&endash; 2009) was an Austrian caricaturist, graphic artist, and illustrator, known for his black ink line drawings. He contributed to The Times and The Observer as Germany's Die Zeit. / From the library of Victor Ross (1919-2021) an Austrian Jewish refugee from Nazi occupation who became Chairman of Reader's Digest, Europe. He conceived and led the 'Thank You Britain' fund in the 1960s, raising £96, 000 (well over £1 million in today's terms) within the Jewish refugee community from central Europe, for a scholarship fund and series of annual lectures at the British Academy.
