Nun ist aber der Ursprung und die Ent stehung der Mehrzahl der bespr'ochenen Theorien, z. B. Nicht so die Entwickelung des typischen Systemes und der Theorie der Atomverkettung, welche weder das Ergebniss einer bestimmten Reihe von Beobachtungen sind, noch auch in scharfen Z???gen in einem einzigen Gusse geschaffen wurden. Sie waren und sind vielmehr die langsam gereifte Frucht zahl reicher experimenteller Arbeiten wie theoretischer Speculationen.
