Excerpt from Die Gedichte des Leb???d: Nach der Wiener Ausgabe ???bersetzt und mit Anmerkungen Versehn aus dem Nachlasse des Dr. A. Huber Unter dem Nachlasse Dr. A. Hubers fand sich die erste Niederschrift einer ???bersetzung der von Chalidi in Wien heraus gegebenen Gedichte Lebids und einiger dazugeh???riger Fragmente. Prof. Thorbecke scheint bereits eine Ausgabe derselben beabsich tigt zu haben, da er einige offenbare Versehn mit Bleistift be richtigt hat. Auf Prof. N???ldekes Rat entschloss ich mich nun auch in diese Arbeit des Verstorbenen einzutreten. Das Manu script war in offenbar unfertigem Zustande hinterlassen, ich musste es daher einer durchgehenden stilistischen Revision und einer Controlle an der Hand des Originals unterziehn. Nur an schwierigen Stellen habe ich, wo ich Hubers Auffassung nicht teilen konnte, dieselbe wenigstens in einer Note angef???hrt. In seinem durchschossenen Handexemplar des Textes fand sich ferner ein reichhaltiger kritischer Apparat, den ich hier als Anhang ver???fientliche. Da ein Neudruck samtlicher Gedichte aus naheliegenden Gr???nden unthunlich war, bitte ich den Leser die unbequeme Trennung von Text und Apparat entschuldigen zu wollen.
