Mit ihrem Mann hatte sie eine Tochter und einen Sohn, das Paar lebte in verschiedenen Garnisonsst???dten, zuletzt in Schwerin. Nach dem Tod ihres Mannes im Jahre 1903 zog sie nach Teplitz, im Jahr 1933 lebte sie in der Mozartstra???e in Schwerin.Der hessische Hofgerichtsrat, Musikschriftsteller und Komponist Hans Adolph Friedrich von Eschstruth ist ein Urgro???onkel.In ihrer Geburtsstadt erinnern der nach ihr benannte Eschstruthplatz und verschiedene Exponate im Stadtmuseum Hofgeismar an ihr Wirken.Von Eschstruth schrieb Frauenromane, die in der Schicht der wilhelminischen Adelsgesellschaft oder bei hohen Hofbeamten spielen und erz???hlt dort fiktiv-biographische Geschichten. Dieses Kind wird dann in einem sp???teren Teil des Buches erwachsen und zum Haupthelden, sodass eine deutliche Z???sur und ein ???rtlicher, motivischer und auch vom Zeitgeist her neuer Erz???hlansatz folgt.Zugleich werden die Handlungen und Pr???gungen immer in der Elterngeneration angelegt. Die Geschichten leben daher nicht von der Erz???hlung einer Emanzipation der Kindergeneration, sondern sie verfolgen didaktische Ziele, indem sie von Irrt???mern einer Kindergeneration berichten, die die Leserin nicht wiederholen soll. So bewahrheiten sich beispielsweise in Die B???ren von Hohen-Esp von 1902 die Bef???rchtungen des Vaters hinsichtlich des avisierten Ehemannes, oder folgen die Kinder dem Vorurteil, das die Eltern lange erfolglos bek???mpfen: So kreist die Geschichte in Polnisch Blut um eine Tochter, die Polen verachtet, und in Die B???ren von Hohen-Esp um eine Tochter, die Seeretter gegen???ber dem Soldaten f???r keines Heldenmutes f???hig h???lt.
