Walter, informed the Speaker of the House that in the 6-week American National Exhibition to be held in Moscow there would be 69 artists whose works have been chosen for exhibition. 34 were asserted to 'have records of affiliation with Communist fronts and causes. ' 22 of these artists were determined to have 'significant records of affiliation with the Communist movement in this country. The routine check against the files of the House Committee on Un-American Activities indicates that these 22 artists have a minimum of 465 connections with Communist fronts and causes. "
