Philippum) weiss von einem fr???hern Aufenthalte des Apostels in Hierapolis und von weiteren Reisen, die er von Hierapolis aus durch Phrygien, Lykaonien und Asien unter nommen haben soll; bevor sie ihn aber nach Hierapolis kommen l???sst, erz???hlt sie von seinen Thaten zu Athen, im Wesentlichen ???berein stimmend mit den acta Philippi in Hellade, und berichtet dann, dass er von Athen aus nach Parthien in die St???dte der "kandaker und weiter zu Schiff nach Asdod (azotos) gekommen sei, woselbst er die augen kranke Tochter seines Gastfreundes geheilt habe (vgl. November in dem cod. Paris. 1551. Auff???llig ist, dass auchin den syrischen Acten die Stadt Karthago als "karthago, welche ist in Azotus bezeichnet ist. Man k???nnte daher vermuthen, dass die Er w???hnung von Karthago auf Misverst???ndnis der n???ler.g 1: g'w Kav???aixmv beruhe, von denen Philippus nach Azotos gekommmen sein soll. Be merkang verdient ferner, dass in diesen syrischen Acten Philippus ausdr???cklich als "apostel und Evangelist bezeichnet wird. Henschen versucht vergeblich, die in den Men???en berichteten Thaton des Philippus zwischen dem Apostel und dem Evangelisten zu vertheilen. Es ist aber zweifellos, dass die apokryphen Acten schon in ihrer ???ltesten Ge stalt beide Personen v???llig identificirt haben.
