Whether or not you're a Dick Francis fan - and you probably are, if you're reading this - there's plenty to like about this compilation. You can read the books in order or out of it and you'll still get a cracking read. Francis' main strength is in his lead characters, who are always people you'd like to know (unlike John Francombe's who tend to be rigid). There's simply no-one to match Dick Francis, and if your collection is incomplete, compilations like this are the way to go!
