Overall a good book. Liked the parts on pre-war development of armor and philosophy, the emphasis on Italian operations, the appendixes. Think the author spent to much text on Rommel�s shortcomings although no disagreement with the criticism. Very disappointed with the lack of maps. The maps provided are good but to few. Especially on a complicated map battle like Crusader where the last map was 22 November and then nothing thru the end of 8th Army�s pursuit.
